Seattle in August is warm and dry, and the average temperature is 77°F. The Seattle airport offers easy access to rideshare options and to a stop on the Link light rail, which runs straight into the heart of Seattle. For these reasons, we encourage our guests to avoid booking a car if possible and take advantage of transit options, walking, and carpooling. Transit directions to each accommodation option are provided below.

To get to this area from the airport on transit, purchase a fare at a ticket machine or on your phone, then take the Link light rail to the University St stop. Walk to 3rd Ave and Pike St to catch the 13 bus, which will head straight up Queen Anne Ave into the heart of the neighborhood.

Located downtown, The Thompson offers incredible water and mountain views and is a short walk from both Pike Place Market and the Space Needle. The Thompson is pet-friendly and offers an onsite restaurant as well as a variety of room types. Don’t miss the rooftop bar, The Nest, which is open to the public and showcases unforgettable views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountain Range beyond.

Located directly across the street from the wedding venue, the Hyatt House makes for a convenient option.
To take transit to Hyatt House from the airport, purchase a fare at a ticket machine or on your phone, then take the Link light rail to the University St stop. Walk to 3rd Ave and Seneca St to catch either the 3 or 4 bus until the Cedar St & Denny Way stop. Hyatt House is a 2-minute walk from there.
